China Reduces Customs Tariff on Some Countries in Asia-Pacific Trade Agreement, Tariff on Soybean Import to Zero, no Change to Sugar Import

The Customs Tariff Rate Committee of the State Council announced on June 26th that tariff on soybean import from some Asia Pacific countries would be lowered, and it also announced the list of products for reduction of tariff. Starting from July 1st, the tariff on soybean import from India, Korea, Bangladesh, Laos and Sri Lanka shall fall from 3% to zero. The List also includes chemicals, produce, pharmaceutical products, garments, iron and steel and aluminum. The tariff rates are adjusted, but there is not change to sugar import.Recommended Reports »
