Wheaten Food Production in October

By CnAgri2012-12-04 10:07:56 Print     China’s wheaten food production registered 2.028 million MT in October and 17.105 million MT in January ~ October, up 20.11% and 11.4% respectively on the year-on-year basis.
 
    The productions of instant noodles and fast-frozen wheaten food registered 980,000 MT and 363,000 MT respectively in October, down 5.9% but up 13.4% respectively against the month before, up 32.43% and 8.36% respectively on the year-on-year basis. Their productions were 7.651 million MT and 3.14 million MT respectively in January ~ October, up 9.44% and 16.98% respectively on the year-on-year basis.
 
    The promulgated figures showed that instant noodles and fast-frozen wheaten food productions increased 35.2% and 27.8% respectively in October and 17.5% and 18.1% respectively in January ~ October, all on the year-on-year basis.
 
    Cracker and cake productions were estimated to be 490,000 MT and 195,000 MT respectively in October.
 
    BOABC estimates that about 1.304 million MT flour was consumed in October for wheaten food production, up 2.89% over the month before and up 22.93% on the year-on-year basis. 10.965 million MT flour was consumed for this purpose in January ~ October, an increase of 10.41% on the year-on-year basis.
 
    Flour consumption for wheaten food consumption equaled to 11.6% of medium and large flourmills’ production in October and 10.84% in January ~ October.
 
    145,900 MT rice was consumed in October and 1.231 million MT in January ~ October for rice food production, up 11.11% and 14.23% respectively on the year-on-year basis.
