Bayer CropScience to establish its China safety fruit chain production

China Agriculture Report By CnAgri2012-07-04 19:02:57China Agriculture Report Print Bayer CropScience entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with Shaanxi Haisheng Group, planning to cooperate in safety fruit chain production project. Haisheng Group is the world largest fruit juice processing enterprise; it has currently 5,000 Mu orchards, to be increased to 10,000 Mu later.

The safety fruit chain production project will be deployed with Bayer’s high-quality seed, advanced crop protection solution and training program. Haisheng Group will supervise the use of crop protection-oriented products, and regulate the processing and purchase procedure. Both sides expect that with the common effort fresh and safe fruit will be supplied to supermarket, hence to really achieve a whole-course service from field to the market.

Food chain project integrates all industry players – farmer, food processor, wholesaler, retailer, importer and exporter, helping farmers to increase their capacity in both emerging and mature markets while quality is improved. Meanwhile assistance is offered to farmers in locating product outlet and raise of their earnings.

Bayer CropScience has developed some 240 food chain partnership projects across some 30 countries covering 40 fruit and vegetable varieties.
