Analysis on Import of Infant Children Formula Milk Powder in China

In the first half of 2011 China imported 43,465 tons of infant/young child’s formula milk powder (HS19011000), up 27.09% year on year, the monthly average price was 11,520 US dollars/ton (CIF), up 8.72% year on year. In May the import was 7,177 tons, up 27.56% year on year; the average import price (CIF) was 12,013 US dollars/ton, up 6.61% year on year. In the first half of 2012 the import of infant/young child’s formula milk powder was mainly from New Zealand, the Netherlands, Singapore and France.
