Total dairy production recorded 11,503,000 tons during the first half of 2012

According to the National Bureau of Statistics, during the first six months of 2012, the total dairy production recorded 11,503,000 tons, up 6.6% year on year, of which liquid milk 9,758,000 tons, up 7.3% year on year; solid dairy 1,745,000 tons, up 12.65% year on year, of which powder 683,000 tons, up 3.17% year on year. In June alone, the production of liquid milk was 1,808,000 tons, solid dairy products 344,000 tons and milk powder 134,000 tons, the year on year growth slowed down noticeably. According to BOABC, the flat liquid milk consumption affected the growth of production in the first half of the year.
