Canada oks BASF’s fungicide fluxapyroxad


Fluxapyroxad belongs to the Group 7 class of fungicides, the succinate-dehydrogenase inhibitor (SDHI). It inhibits succinate-dehydrogenase in complex II of fungal respiration. Fluxapyroxad inhibits spore germination, germ tube elongation, mycelial growth, and sporulation with preventative and curative properties. Fluxapyroxad has been grant full approval in EU in July this year, and Australia has also proposed the approval for this new fungicide in last month.
