Farm Rescue is a one-of-a-kind nonprofit organization that has been featured in local and national media since it was founded in 2005. Farm Rescue gives families a chance to continue their livelihood by providing the necessary equipment and manpower to plant or harvest their crops when unable to do so themselves.
Since its inception seven years ago, the organization has planted and harvested crops for farm families in North Dakota, South Dakota, Minnesota and Montana. Iowa was recently added as the fifth state in which Farm Rescue provides assistance.
Dan and Rose Dotzenrod of Wyndmere, N.D. will receive harvesting assistance due to a major injury experienced earlier this year. Dan is recovering from a broken neck after falling off of a semi-trailer and is unable to operate harvest equipment this season. The farm family, volunteers and Farm Rescue founder, Bill Gross, will be present for interviews, photos and video footage at the field where harvest operations will take place starting at 11:00AM on September 27.
The organization has a volunteer workforce from across the nation and sponsors that including RDO Equipment Co., Walmart, Pizza Ranch, Wilson Trailer, Puklich Chevrolet, Superior Inc., Norwood Sales, Bremer Bank, Stine Seed, North Dakota Farmers Union, Ryan Chevrolet, SEEDS2000, Certified Heartland Chevy Dealers, Nodak Mutual Insurance, and many others who support the mission of Farm Rescue.
