Plant Impact sets up subsidiary in Brazil
By CnAgri2012-10-23 19:13:57 PrintPlant Impact has established business operations in the Brazilian market through the incorporation of its subsidiary, Plant Impact Technologia em Nutrição Limitada.
PI Brazil will be based in Sao Paulo and will allow Plant Impact to hold product registrations, employ staff and conduct a full range of operations in Brazil.
Chief executive John Brubaker said: "We are extremely excited to announce the establishment of Plant Impact's Brazil business and to affirm our long-term commitment to the market.
"Our management team and board recognise the critical importance of a local presence in this extremely competitive, technically sophisticated and fast-growing agricultural market."
In addition, Plant Impact also announced its 2012-13 pre-commercial demonstration and evaluation program for Veritas and Meliora, the Company's CaT technology products for soybeans and high-value horticulture, respectively.
Veritas is an innovative foliar spray which delivers significantly improved soybean and dry bean yield in a variety of soils and environmental conditions.
Over the course of the 2012-13 Brazilian soybean and cropping season, Plant Impact will conduct grower evaluation trials and additional replicated plot trials to finalise the product's yield potential and market positioning.
Meliora delivers enhanced calcium mobility to fruit and vegetable crops with compelling economic impact for technologically advanced growers.
Also a part of Plant Impact's CaT technology family, the product's composition and design has been optimised to deliver increased efficacy for the Brazilian horticultural market.
Meliora is under development for target crops such as tomatoes, melons, grapes and apples.
Grower evaluation and replicated plot trials will be conducted for both products in collaboration with key strategic partners and contract research firms in Brazil.
