Futureco Bioscience gets official registration for Bestcure in South Africa

China Agriculture Report By CnAgriChina Agriculture Report Print

Futureco Bioscience successfully registered Bestcure in South Africa (# L8933) in collaboration with its exclusive national partner. Both companies have already initiated the first commercial development for marketing the product. Bestcure was firstly registered for the control of Botrytis cinerea on table and wine grapes, but aims to achieve more authorizations shortly.

The botanical extract Bestcure is a broad spectrum fungicide and bactericide with effective control of plant pathogens in preventive and curative treatments against fungi (Fusarium, Botrytis, Plasmopara, Alternaria) and bacteria (Erwinia, Xanthomonas, Ralstonia). Additionally, this residue-free product stimulates the natural defenses of the plant and has strong antioxidant and invigorating effects, which makes it an interesting organic tool for Integrated Pest Management programs.

At this first stage, the product is only authorized in South Africa for direct application in wine and table grapes against Botrytis cinerea, a fungal disease which has a real economic impact with direct losses in the crop. In a short future, the aim is to achieve new registrations for other important crops such tomato, citrus and stone-fruits.

Bestcure is an original product from Futureco Bioscience, a company dedicated to the design, development and marketing of biological products for plant nutrition and plant protection. Today, through strategic alliances worldwide, Futureco Bioscience exports its products to over 25 countries.
