Gowan, Biopreparaty announce biofungicide agreement

Biopreparáty, spol. s r.o. and Gowan Company, LLC recently signed a commercial agreement for exclusive distribution of Polyversum®. The agreement names Gowan as exclusive distributor for Polyversum, a biofungicide containing the active ingredient Pythium oligandrum to develop, register and market in the NAFTA Region starting in the 2013 crop season. Gowan has also committed to evaluate Polyversum in LATAM.

"Pythium oligandrum is an Annex I listed active substance; the commercially formulated product Polyversum has been successfully marketed in Europe in several crops, including but not limited to: canola, sunflower, wheat, and barley since 1997. It has shown and confirmed its efficacy under different conditions and crops. Biopreparáty continues to expand its business opportunity with Pythium oligandrum worldwide.
