2021 is the first year of the 14th five-year plan. According to the latest target of N-Fertilizer Industry Association, N-fertilizer industry during the 14th Five-Year Plan Period still would witness the structure adjustment. At the end of the 14th Five-Year Plan Period, the proportion of new-type N-fertilizer would be around 25%.
Added-value fertilizer is one of development directions of fertilizer products. According to the data, the output of new-type fertilizers such as added-value urea, added-value ammonium acid phosphate and added-value compound fertilizer is around 10 million MT, of which added-value urea output is around 3 million MT. N-fertilizer output in 2019 was 35.77 million MT (nutrient), and added-value urea output was less than 4%. According to the 14th Five-Year Plan, the total output of N-fertilizer industry would continue to be controlled. Meanwhile, the companies would continue to optimize the product structure and strengthen the efforts to R & D, promotion and application of green high efficient fertilizers, which would increase the proportion of new-type N-fertilizer to 25%. Namely, at the end of the 14th Five-Year Plan Period, the output of added-value urea would reach 20 million MT, and the output of added-value compound fertilizer and ammonium phosphate would be 20 million MT and 10 million MT.
