May Corn Starch Prices in the Production and Consumption Areas Averaged at RMB 2,770/MT, RMB 110/MT Lower than Last Month

As corn cost was decreasing and the operating rate was increasing, the corn starch price in September decreased from last month in the Northeast, North, and Huanghuai production areas. The average corn starch price in the production and sales areas was 2,770 yuan/ton, a 3.8% decrease of 110 yuan/ton over August.
The quote from the Northeast was 2,655 RMB/ton on average, the quote from North China and the Yellow-Huaihe River Region was 2,725 RMB/ton, and the price in consuming regions was 2,815 RMB/ton on average, down 110 RMB/ton or 4.0%, down 105 RMB/ton or 3.7%, and down 105 RMB/ton or 3.6% from previous month.
