China Agriculture Report By CnAgri2012-07-03 14:56:01China Agriculture Report Print

China’s fertilizer exports registered 400,000 MT in May, 52.9% more than the month before but 46.5% less than the same period of last year.

Urea exports went up to 100,000 MT in May, but imports hit 107,000 MT. Urea exports totaled 220,000 MT in January ~ May, a collapse of 90% on the year-on-year basis.

DAP exports recorded 13,000 MT in May and 193,000 MT in January ~ May, down 27.3% and 37.9% respectively on the year-on-year basis. Urea export price was $474/MT in May and the bulk of the exports went to Thailand.

Exports of AS, NA and SSP increased substantially in May. AS exports were 240,000 MT in May, up 12.2% on the year-on-year basis.

Considering the reduction of fertilizer export tariff in June, urea and DAP exports are presumed to pick up by a big margin in June but are unlikely to exceed the same period of last year.
