Recent moves of livestock and feed enterprises in China

Kerry Group has recently increased its holding of Yurun Group’s stock to 91.381 million shares, 5.01% of the total.

CP Group plans to set up in Xichang City, Sichuan, a hog production base including hog farms, feed mills and slaughterhouses. The project is designed with an annual hog production of 500,000 heads.

Baodi Agricultural Technology Co., Ltd., located in Tianjin, has decided to invest RMB1.08 billion in Datong County, Shanxi, to set up a food industry park consisting of a swine-breeding farm capable of 100,000 heads/year, a hog slaughterhouse capable of 2 million heads/year and a poultry-processing factory capable of 50 million birds/year.

Tengsheng Beef Cattle Production Cooperative has been recently put under construction in Fuyang City, Anhui, with RMB500 million investment. The first phase of the project is designed with an annual production of 20,000 cattle and the second phase is designed with an annual cow slaughter capacity of 100,000 heads.

Benxiang Group, located in Yongshou County, Shaanxi, has recently put into operation a breeding-stock farm designed with an inventory of 4,500 heads of grandparent generation boars and sows from UK PIC.
