SFDA: Revoke License for Adding Non-Food Substance Intentionally

The State Food and Drug Administration has issued a notice which requires to crack down all illegal activities including illegal adding of non-food substances and abusing of food additives.  Any enterprises or persons that intentionally add non-food substances in catering service link shall be revoked catering service license, confiscated all illegal income, food raw materials, relevant food and tool and equipment, and timely transferred to judicial organs for treatment, in order to ensure the criminal suspect shall be investigated for criminal responsibility in place.

The Notice requires that all levels of food and drug supervision departments should strictly  supervise catering service license, and publicize catering service license issuing to the public in a timely manner; implement license management according to law for all kinds of catering service units, any catering service units which can not meet food safety conditions continuously, and still can not meet the requirements after rectification shall be revoked licenses in accordance with the related laws. The Notice also requires to speed up establishment of a food safety supervision credit information files on catering service, any catering service units listed into the food safety poor credit records shall be punished according to the law, at the same time, the units shall be given focused supervision including increasing supervision and inspection frequency, reducing quantization classification level, and disclose to the public.
