According to statistics from China Customs Office, during the first three quarters of 2012 China’s import of dairy products, including six tariff codes - H.S.0401, H.S.0402, H.S.0403, H.S.0404, H.S.0405 and H.S.0406, totaled 860,446 tons, up 28.97% year on year. The average CIF price for dairy import was 2,898 US dollars/ton, 2.26% lower year on year. In September the international price fell in general, the CIF price fell by 7.10% year on year, whereas the import quantity rose by 25.33% year on year.
