Fertilizer Sales in September

    The fertilizer industry’s sales registered RMB65.1 billion in September, including RMB20.5 billion nitrogen, RMB6.9 billion phosphorus, RMB2.1 billion potassium and RMB29.3 billion compound fertilizer, up 12.8%, 3.9%, 24.6%, 15.4% and 14.8% respectively on the year-on-year basis.

    Fertilizer sale/production ratio was 96.7% in September, up 1.9% over the month before but down 0.83% on the year-on-year basis, suggesting a moderate recovery of sales following recent price decline. Specifically, phosphorus and potassium sales ratio picked up but other fertilizer’s ratio dropped.

    Fertilizer sales totaled RMB535.3 billion in January ~ September, an increase of 17.7% on the year-on-year basis. The sale/production ratio was 97.1% in the meantime, down 0.88% on the year-on-year basis. The potassium industry’s sales ratio was 87.4% in January ~ September, lower than that of other industries, but 6.17% higher than the same period of last year.
