Production of Raw Milk in Different Areas

Inner Mongolia

1.  In 2012 Xinghe County consolidated and constructed 7 dairy farming parks and the dairy cattle inventory stabilized at 28,000. The county increased 320,000 mu of man-planted forage grass acreage and 230,000 mu of fodder.

2.  Huhehaote planned to set up 11 new dairy farms in 2012, of which 6 of 10,000 inventory, 2 of 5,000 inventory and 3 of 3,000 inventory. To date, various counties and companies have agreed to set up 18 scaled farms and the net increase of dairy cattle shall be 123,000, 15 are being built and another 3 are going through relevant formalities. 10 scaled farms have been basically set up and 14,460 dairy cattle have been bought.

3.  Saihan District of Huhehaote implemented the “hundred, thousand and ten thousand” program. It newly setup, renovated and expanded 21 farms (parks or zones). There are 36 dairy farms, parks and zones in the district, and two parks of 10,000 dairy cattle inventory are being built smoothly.

4.  Huhehaote implemented the high-yield quality alfalfa project. The city would set up 46,000 mu of quality alfalfa acreage and the total subsidy is 27.6 million yuan, of which the Central Government allocates the task for 25,000 mu for a subsidy of 15 million yuan, whereas the autonomous region allocates 21,000 mu task for a subsidy of 12.6 million yuan. The total alfalfa acreage is foreseen to hit 100,000 mu in 2013.

5.  Huhehaote got 4.8 million yuan fund from the Central Government’s budget for setting up standardized and scaled dairy farming zones (farms). Four counties and 6 farming zones (farms) shall benefit from this, investment in each farming zone (farm) shall be 800,000 yuan. 

Heilongjiang

1.  So far the dairy cattle inventory is 587,000 in Daqing City, of those 350,000 are adult cows, up 10% and 9.3% year on year respectively, taking the third position in the province. Milk production of the city is 1.3 million tons, up 11.5% year on year. At present there are 245 scaled dairy farms (zones) and 60% of the dairy cattle are reared on scaled farms (zones).

2.  Duerbote Grassland used to have 4.69 million mu of grassland and alfalfa was planted on 80,000 mu of land during the 11^th Five Year. The county has set up and is building altogether 44 scaled dairy farms, of which 19 are in operation. According to the 12^th Five Year plan, 1 million mu of grassland shall be improved and there shall be 500,000 mu of quality forage grass land. 

Jilin

1.  Currently there are 81,000 dairy cattle in Taonan City and the total milk production is 142,000 tons. The city has supplied liquid nitrogen eight times, issued 4935 straws of frozen semen and provided 1428 liters of liquid nitrogen. It cooperated with Inner Mongolia Saikexing Breeding Biotechnology Co., Ltd. and has introduced 2000 straws of quality dairy cattle frozen semen from Saikexing. 310 straws have been allocated to farmers and 135 contracts on calf buyback have been signed. Ten more new standard liquid nitrogen stations have been newly set up in the city. 

Hebei

1.  Till the third quarter of this year, the dairy cattle inventory was 439,000 in Zhangjiakou City, up 8.35% year on year; milk production 1.224 million tons, up 17.2% year on year. Zhangjiakou has invested 2.386 billion yuan in total in late years and it has set up 365 new dairy farms (zones), expanded 214 farms (zones) and there are 539 scaled dairy farms (zones) and dairy farmers’ cooperatives. It set up Mengniu (Saibei) Modern Farm, Yili (Zhangbei) 505 Modern Farm and Jinyuan Dairy (Xuanhua) Farm. There are a number of competitive companies in the city including Mengniu (Chabei), Synutra (Chabei), Mengniu (Saibei), Modern Farming and Yili (Zhangbei).

2.  Fengning County built up “China Organic Milk Capital” brand. There are 39,800 dairy cattle in the county and the new increase is 5,800.

3.  Currently there are 30,000 dairy cattle and 34 dairy farming zones in Kangbao County. 100% of the dairy cattle are reared on scaled farms.

4.  There are 15 medium and small farms, 16 cooperatives and 31 milk stations in Chabei Administrative Zone, Zhangjiakou City.
