Paper Market Went Slack in China

In China’s paper pulp market, price of conifer pulp went stable with tight supply, compared with which, the price of broadleaf pulp went weak; as for natural pulp, the price went stable with few spots. With gloomy paper market, slow down of macro economy and surplus supply of paper pulp, paper pulp market went slack.
   
Waste paper market: domestic waste paper dealers’ desire of ordering was weak and they focused on clearing stocks and vitalizing funds, so the price went stable.
   
Paper market: offset paper price remained steady with stable demand, compared with which, coated paper price went stable with decline; white cardboard price saw decline with weak demand in downstream; white board paper price ran stable with limited demand; Nine Dragons Paper raised paper price twice in Dec. accumulatively by RMB100-150/MT, including prices for white board paper and kraft paper; manufacturers of boxboard and corrugated paper raised quotation in the end of November and the prices in more and more areas increased accordingly.
   
In the year-end, dealers and paper factories are engaged with returning funds and some dealers accelerate clearing stocks with low price, which, however, has no influences on general quotation, which remains stable.
