Fertilizer Production Exceeded 70 Million MT in 2013

By CnAgri2014-02-17 09:42:59 Print 　China Fertilizer production (nutrient, hereinafter the same) was 6.224 million MT in Dec., up 2.59% on year-on-year basis and up 18.9% from last month. Fertilizer production accumulated to 72.96 million MT in Jan.-Dec., up 6.7% on year on year basis. It is the first time fertilizer production exceeds 70 million MT. Top 5 producing provinces were Hubei, Shandong, Henan, Guizhou and Shanxi, with production of 11.867 million MT, 8.263 million MT, 535.9 million MT, 5.117 million MT and 4.461 million MT respectively, of which, Henan saw the biggest growth of 19.44%.

　　　  Nitrogen fertilizer production accumulated to 50.35 million MT in Jan.-Dec., up 6% on year-on-year basis and was 4.23 million MT in Dec., up 1.2% YOY and up 16.9% MOM, of which, urea production was 2.7 million MT, up 7.7% YOY and up 13% MOM.

　　　Phosphate fertilizer production accumulated to 17.92 million MT in Jan.-Dec., up 5.6% on year-on-year basis and was1.57 million MT in Dec., up 0.2% YOY and up 21.5% MOM, of which, DAP and MAP production(fertilizer) was 1.29 million MT and1.55 million MT, up 1.1% and 7.4% YOY and down 4.4% and up 32.8% MOM respectively. Phosphate fertilizer production saw nominal increase due to the low price.

Potassium fertilizer production accumulated to 4.69 million MT in Jan.-Dec., up 19% on year-on-year basis and was0.427 million MT in Dec., up 32.85% YOY and down 31.4% MOM. Potassium fertilizer production saw the biggest increase and the self-sufficiency rate of China potassium fertilizer also rose greatly.
