Private Investment in Fixed Assets for the First Half Year of 2012

The proportion of private investment in fixed assets to the total investment in fixed assets was 62.1 percent, dropped 0.1 percentage points over the first five months.
In term of different areas, the private investment in fixed assets in eastern region amounted to 4,727.8 billion yuan, went up by 22.9 percent year-on-year, and 1.4 percentage points lower over the first five months; that of central region, 2,746.0 billion yuan, surged 27.5 percent, 0.1 percentage points higher over the first five months; that of western region, 1,892.0 billion yuan, increased 31.2 percent, 1.4 percentage points lower over the first five months.
In term of different industries, the private investment in fixed assets in primary industry reached 251.5 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 31.2 percent, 6.8 percentage points lower over the first five months; that in the secondary industry amounted to 4,948.9 billion yuan, increased 28.9 percent and 0.3 percentage points lower; that in the tertiary industry was 4,165.4 billion yuan, went up by 22.0 percent and 1.2 percentage points lower.
Of the secondary industry, industrial private investment in fixed assets reached 4,873.3 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 28.9 percent, and 0.3 percentage points lower over the first five months, of which, that of mining industry was 285.4 billion yuan, increased 29.2 percent, and 5.0 percentage points lower; that of the manufacturing industry was 4,402.9 billion yuan, increased 29.1 percent, and the growth rate remained at the same level over the first five months; that of the production and supply of electricity, gas and water was 185.0 billion yuan, increased 23.5 percent, and 2.4 percentage points lower.
