China approves four new pesticide projects

The Chinese Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) has approved four new pesticide manufacturing projects.

Anqing Boyuan Biochemical based in Anhui province received approval for a 1,000 tons/year manufacturing project for the pyrethroid insecticide lambda-cyhalothrin, 2.5% EC.

Jiangsu Huifeng Tech based in Jiangsu province was granted permission for a 200 tons/year manufacturing project for the active ingredient of strobilurin fungicide azoxystrobin.

Nantong Gongcheng Fine Chemical in Jiangsu province received approval for a 50 tons/year project for pyrazole acaricide fenpyroximate, a 50 tons/year project for pyrethroid insecticide permethrin.

The manufacturing permissions will expire for 5 years. The approved companies need to apply for the product registrations and production licenses within 3 years of approval date.
