Bayer CropScience announces Suspend PolyZone, a long-lasting, controlled-release pest control technology, is now approved for use in California.

The new technology received approval from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) last year and has been on the market since February. California’s Department of Pesticide Regulation granted approval for use of Suspend PolyZone in the state as of July 9.

The proprietary polymer in Suspend PolyZone provides a long-lasting shield against weather, irrigation and mechanical abrasion. Suspend PolyZone provides up to 90 days of residual outdoor perimeter control, Bayer reports.

Suspend PolyZone controls a wide variety of pests, including indoor general household pests, outdoor perimeter pests and wood-infesting pests.

"Bayer is dedicated to developing long-lasting solutions that provide Pest Management Professionals (PMPs) with the most advanced and effective tools available,” said Norman Barclift, Suspend PolyZone product manager for Environmental Science. “Suspend PolyZone has a unique formulation technology that enables controlled release, extending the intervals between services to help PMPs increase their profitability by saving them time and money.”
