Australia to ok Bayer's penflufen

The Australian Pesticides and Veterinary Medicines Authority (APVMA) has proposed to approve Bayer CropScience’s fungicidal seed treatment product EverGol Prime Seed Treatment which containing penflufen for use on wheat and barley for the suppression of rhizoctonia root rot and control or suppression of smut diseases. The public comments on this decision will be closed on November 20th.

Bayer CropScience has received the first registration worldwide for its new fungicidal seed treatment product Emesto (penflufen) in the UK in 2011. Bayer also received registrations for penflufen in US and Canada in 2012.
