Agriphar developed two stored grain treatment insecticides

By CnAgri Print Cereals (such as wheat, barley and rye) come under frequent attack from bio-aggressors such as fungi and insects throughout their growth cycle. This, in turn, can lead to reduced crop yields and can also affect the quality of the grains. Agriphar has developed and released a range of crop protection products to fight against these pests and relieve the pressure that they place on plants during the growth cycle.

Once the harvest is complete and the grain has been stored in silos, producers face a new threat to the quality of their grain. This threat comes in the form of beetles (weevils, grain beetles, flour beetles, etc.), moths and butterflies, and mites and ticks, which feed on the grains before they are used for human consumption. These pests are listed in many international directives and regulations. Millions of tons of cereals are rejected at national borders each year when inspections reveal the presence of these insects in a batch of grain. They therefore pose enormous health, food security and economic risks.

In order to mitigate these risks, Agriphar has developed two cypermethrin-based insecticides: TALISMA UL and TALISMA EC. These formulations are both preventive (they prevent the infestation of stored grain) and curative (for batches that are already infested). TALISMA UL and EC can therefore be used to protect the entire grain production chain, from harvest to processing (flour, malt, etc.), against harmful insects.
