Makhteshim-Agan Benelux & Nordic Expands, Establishes Lithuania Subsidiary

China Agriculture Report By CnAgriChina Agriculture Report Print The Makhteshim-Agan Group (MAI), a global leader in crop protection solutions together with its 55% owned subsidiary Makhteshim-Agan Benelux & Nordic B.V. (MABENO B.V.) recently announced the establishment of a wholly owned sales subsidiary in Vilnius, Lithuania, called UAB Makhteshim-Agan Benelux & Nordic (UAB MABENO).  This subsidiary will provide MABENO with direct commercial access to the Baltic market and closer proximity to the needs of farmers.

Executive new appointments include Erika Povilionien? as CEO of UAB MABENO, Vaidotas Donyla as Business Support Manager Baltics and Ilze Priekule as Technical / Development Manager Baltics. These professionals together with the existing support team will insure outstanding support in the market.

Erika Povilionien?, graduated as MSc at the Agricultural University in Kaunas Lithuania, has 15 years practical experience in the crop protection market including positions in agricultural distribution, as well as, in the crop protection industry. “We foresee significant opportunities in the Baltic crop protection market and are excited to position ourselves as a leading player which will enable us to advance our growth in the market,” Erika Povilionien? said. “The establishment of this new sales company and our professional team gives us strengthened capabilities and opportunities going forward.”
