China’s Raw Milk Price Kept Its Upward Trend in July

According the monitoring by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, in July 2020,  China’s raw milk price had consolidated its recovery. Raw milk price was 3.6 yuan/kg early July and later climbed up to around 3.65 yuan/kg in late July. The monthly average price in July was 3.62 yuan/kg, a month-by-month increase of 0.04 yuan/kg, up by 1.1%, which was a year-on-year increase of 0.03 yuan/kg, up by 0.8%.
Looking by region, aside from few places where milk price remained steady or had some slight fall, most regions saw month-by-month increase of milk price. Jiangsu, Zhejiang,Shanghai,Shaanxi,Gansu and Ningxia saw considerable increase in milk price.
Out of the main producing regions, milk price of Inner Mongolia was at the same level with the previous month, Heilongjiang and Henan had slight month-by-month increase, while Hebei and Shandong saw obvious month-by-month increase in milk price.
