Flour production of enterprises above designated size in April

Data from the National Bureau of Statistics show that flour production of processing companies above designated size reached 7.61 million tons in April, up 14.0% year-on-year; the figure for the first four months totaled 25.41 million tons, down 2.1% year-on-year. According to BOABC’s monitoring data, the production of flour in April increased by 12.1% year-on-year; the cumulative production in the first four months totaled 25.56 million tons, down 4.1% year-on-year.
In April, the national flour production was 7.429 million tons , up 15.7% year-on-year. The figure for the first four months registered 25.457million tons, up 0.85% year-on-year. The sharp growth in pork prices led to the increase in flour consumption.
The calculated operating rate of flour processing enterprises was 50.9% in April. To be specific, the operating rate of enterprises above designated size registered 54.1%, and the figure for medium and small-sized companies was 15.2%.
