Wheat consumption and month-end inventory

In April, 10.040 million tons of wheat was processed in the country, producing 7.429 million tons of flour, and 2.610 million tons of by products. Comprehensively considering the consumption of wheat for processing, feed, industrial purposes, and seeds, the total consumption of wheat in April reached 11.616 million tons. At the end of April, China’s inventory of wheat reached 93.8 million tons, and the monthly safety factor (month-end inventory/monthly consumption) registered 8.1, which’s lower than 8.7 at the end of last year.
