The overall trend of spot price for sugar showed an decreasing trend. The average spot price for white granulated sugar was 5,921.4 yuan/ton in March, down 1.15% from the 5,990.4 yuan/ton in February, or 9.63% higher than the 5,401.3 yuan/ton in same period last year. The spot price had been 5,765.0 yuan/ton in Nanning till March 31^st, down 70.0 yuan/ton than February.
