The Ghanaian government announced on February 14 that the logging, transportation,
processing and export ban on rosewood, which began in March 2019, will remain in
effect with no expiration date.
On February 24, the US Commerce Department announced the final determination on
anti-dumping and countervailing investigations on Chinese wooden cabinets and vanities:
(1) the final anti-dumping tax rates on Ancientree Cabinet, Rizhao Foremost and Dalian
Meisen were 4.37%, 101.46% and 262.18% respectively, with the average rate of
48.50% and penalty rate of 262.18%. (2) the final countervailing duty rates on Ancientree
Cabinet, Rizhao Foremost and Dalian Meisen were 13.33%, 31.18% and 18.27%
respectively, with the average rate of 20.93% and penalty rate of 293.45%. The USITC is
expected to issue its final announcement on April 6, 2020.
 In 2019, Guangdong produced solid wood floor of 15.536,900 square meters, a
year-on-year growth of 0.7%, and solid wood composite floor of 16.189,900 square
meters, down 18.2% year on year.
In 2019, the total sales volume of wood-based panel veneer special paper for enterprises
above designated scale in China was about 1,149,800 tons, with a year-on-year growth
of 2.48%.
