Government to Help Slaughterhouses to Upgrade Facilities

The Ministry of Commerce has recently issued a notice, listing the conditions for slaughterhouses to apply for standardization projects that will enjoy government’s financial support. The projects include purchase or innovation of production lines, meat quality testing facilities, pollution disposal facilities, workshop monitoring facilities, etc.
The applicant’s qualifications including the following: First, the company must be a designated slaughterhouse and must have been in operation for more than three years. Second, the company must be a major meat supplier in the local region and its slaughter must be 30,000 ~ 300,000 heads last year. Third, the company has no record of violations of laws in the last three years. Fourth, the company must be in normal operation and has a certain amount of capital for standardized reconstruction.
