Fertilizer Exports in June in China

Urea exports recorded 91,000 MT in June and 311,000 MT in January ~ June, up three times but down 90% respectively on the year-on-year basis.

Despite a low tariff of 7%, DAP exports went down in June on account of high production cost and soft international demand. DAP exports recorded 77,000 MT in June and 270,000 MT in January ~ June, down 76.8% and 58% respectively on the year-on-year basis.

MAP exports were 91,000 MT in June and 115,000 MT in January ~ June, up 6.9 times but down 13% respectively on the year-on-year basis.

AS exports were 950,000 MT in January ~ June, up 7.6% on the year-on-year basis. NA and SSP exports went up in January ~ June on the year-on-year basis.

BOABC predicts that fertilizer exports may go up in the third quarter of this year. Monthly urea and DAP exports are expected to exceed 200,000 MT respectively.
