Fertilizer production reached 6.096 million MT in July in China

China's fertilizer production registered 6.096 million MT (nutrient, same below) in July, 7.1% less than the month before but 5.3% more than the same period of last year. Fertilizer production totaled 41.741 million MT in January ~ July, an increase of 7.6% on the year-on-year basis. Of the total, 68.6% were nitrogen, 25.2% phosphorus and 6.2% potassium.

Nitrogen production was 4.083 million MT in July and 28.587 million MT in January ~ July, up 5.1% and 7.6% respectively on the year-on-year basis.

Phosphorus production was 1.583 million MT in July and 10.517 million MT in January ~ July, up 8.5% and 9.1% respectively on the year-on-year basis. DAP production went up but MAP went down against the month before. DAP and MAP productions registered 3.32 million MT and 3.22 million MT respectively in January ~ July, jointly accounting for 62% of phosphorus production.

Potassium production was 430,000 MT in July and 2.579 million MT in January ~ July, down 3.8% but up 2.6% respectively on the year-on-year basis. Potassium production kept receding for three months by July.

Of the nitrogen production, urea production added 5.9% in July on the year-on-year basis. Urea production total 37.751 million MT (product) in January ~ July, an increase of 6.2% on the year-on-year basis.
