Production of raw milk in China: Inner Mongolia

Gucheng Town, Tuoketuo County continued to promote centralized “entrusted” rearing of dairy cattle. All the 26,000 dairy cattle in the town shall realize cetrnalized rearing in five years.

Tuomotezuo Banner set up 131 dairy farming parks in the first half of the year, and the “Chilechuan Leading Dairy Farming Base – Yili 10,000 Dairy Farm” was set up.

So far there are 38 scaled dairy farming zones in Yuanbao District, Chifeng City, the dairy cattle inventory is 41,000 and the daily milk output is 330 tons.

At present the dairy cattle inventory in Huhehaote is 750,000, up 2% year on year, the milk production is 1.62 million tons, up 2.5% year on year, altogether 359 scaled farms have been set up and 67% of the dairy cattle are on scaled farms.

Currently dairy cattle inventory is 51,000 in Zhalaite Banner, and the forage grass acreage is 635,000 mu.
