Raw milk production in China in July: Shandong

Jiyang County supports Jinan Chunyu Futian Animal farming Co. Ltd. to invest 30 million yuan for setting up a large modern dairy farm. The total budget shall be 3.5 billion yuan for rearing 100,000 dairy cattle. The annual production of milk shall be 700,000 tons.

Till the end of 2011 there had been 22,100 dairy cattle in Rongcheng City and milk production had been 85,000 tons. Currently 23 scaled farms are being built.

Shimen Town of Linshu County remunerate dairy farms and processing companies every year. The 1 million yuan remuneration is for breed improvement and loan interest subsidy for scaled farms. So far Qianzhuang Dairy Cattle Cooperative of Shimenzhen Town has more than 500 dairy cattle and the annual milk production is 1,600 tons.

In the first half 2012 there were 46,100 dairy cattle in Xintai City, up 13.8% year on year; milk production was 78,300 tons, up 18.59% year on year.

Dongying City promulgated remuneration methods to support construction of pilot animal farming parks, high-efficient eco recyclable modes and scientific competitiveness. 1.5 million yuan bonus is for each large-scale modern pilot animal farm that is newly set up and put into operation in 2012. For a standardized dairy farming park with over 1000 adult dairy cattle inventory and if the park is over 1000 meters away from any other larger dairy farm, the bonus is 200,000 yuan. For a standardized dairy farming park with over 5000 adult dairy cattle, the bonus is 500,000 yuan. If the park has over 10000 adult dairy cattle, the bonus is 1 million yuan.

So far Linyi County has 24,500 dairy cattle inventory and 94% of the dairy cattle are reared on scaled farms.
