Guangxi to become No.1 wood production base in China

Forest coverage rate reached 60.5% in Guangxi in 2011, about 3 times above the average rate in China and 4 Mu per capita.

Total output value of forestry industry in Guangxi was about RMB160billion in 2011, up 25% year on year, of which the output value of paper manufacture and wood processing industry was more than RMB80billion.

According to statistics, the major indexes such as annual growth quantity, annual cutting quantity and annual forest stock increase of Guangxi has ranked the top of all provinces in China, which makes Guangxi the biggest wood production base nationwide. The project to make Guangxi the national wood stock center has begun.
