Exports of Hebei Furniture Increased USD0.34billion in Value from January to August

According to statistics from Shijiazhuang Customs, exports of furniture and furniture elements in Hebei totaled USD0.34billion in value from Jan to Aug, up 49.4% year on year, while the total exports of furniture in China during this time was USD30.87billion, up 28.1% compared with last year. In August, exports of furniture in Hebei was USD51.39million in value, up 63.2% year on year and 29.5% month on month.

Features of furniture and furniture elements from January to August:
General trade accounted for above 90%, and processing trade grew greatly as well. From January to August, export of general trade was USD0.32billion with a growth of 50%, which accounted for 95% of the total export amount. Export of processing trade was USD 13.60million which accounted for 5%, up 37.3%.

Exports in private enterprises grew drastically, reaching 80%. From Jan to Aug, exports of private enterprises in value were USD0.27billion which accounted for 80%, up 59.3% and ranking the first. Exports in foreign-investment enterprises were USD59.34million with an growth of 16%, accounting for 18%.

Langfang, Tangshan and Shijiazhuang were the major export provinces, and exports in Chengde increased greatly. From Jan to Aug, exports of furniture and furniture elements in Langfang were USD0.24billion which accounted for71% of the total, up 60%. Exports in Tangshan were USD50.74million which accounted for 15%, up29.3%. Exports in Shijiazhuang were USD20.77million which accounted for 6%, up 69.1%. Exports in Chengde were USD0.4829million which increased by 300%.

Trade partners were concentrated in European and American areas with rising market. From Jan to Aug, exports of furniture and furniture elements to EU market in Hebei were USD0.12billion which accounted for 36% of the total, up 33.6%. Among them, exports to France were USD21.13million which increased by 1.5 times; exports to America were 59.02million which accounted for 18%, up37%; exports to ASEAN were USD16.93million, up 150%; exports to EAU were USD13.37million, up 110%.

From Jan to Aug, furniture and furniture elements exports in Hebei remained the upwards trend with the gloomy foreign trade as a whole.
