Milk Powder Exports in August Up 19.55%

According to data from China Customs, China exported 1,024 tons milk powder in August 2012, up by 19.55% year on year, of which full-cream light powder 785 tons, up 16.77% year on year, full-cream sweet powder 235 tons, up 37.81% year on year. During the first eight months, China exported 7,064 tons of powder, up by 12.51% year on year.

In August 2012, the average export price of skim powder was 5,879 US dollars/ton, full-cream light powder 3,226 US dollars/ton and full-cream sweet powder 5,050US dollars/ton.

During the first eight months of 2012, milk powder export mainly went to Nigeria, Hong Kong, Myanmar and Bangladesh, accounting for 52.2%、19.9%、12.8% and 8.8% of the total export respectively, and aggregated 93.7% in the total.
