National Food Safety Risk Monitoring System to Be Established
By CnAgri2012-11-06 10:51:22 PrintIn the recently issued Hygiene Industry’s Development Plan in the 12th Five-Year Period, the government puts forward the following objectives to be reached:
First, the government will establish a national food safety risk monitoring system to improve information exchange and ensure food safety.
Second, food safety criteria are to be upgraded to improve state food safety criteria system.
Third, food safety incident reporting mechanism and epidemiological investigation mechanism are to be established to enhance disease preventative organizations’ capability to cope with food origin diseases.
Fourth, lists of illegal food additives will be announced from time to time; Food safety laws and regulations will be further popularized and supervision over the catering industry’s food safety will be intensified.
