China Weekly Wholesale Prices of Pork in 36 Large Cities

On Nov 14, 2012, in the pork wholesale markets of the 36 medium-and-large sized cities, the average price of fresh boning-out leg meat and lean pork (not tenderloin) is RMB20.71Yuan/KG, up 0.73% compared with last week. For this week, the price of live hog was RMB14.63Yuan/KG, down 0.07% compared with last week. Winter is coming in most areas, but the consumption peak period hasn’t come yet. so the demand is limited to increase. Meanwhile, the slaughtering amount of designated-size slaughtering enterprises in October increased 3.2% compared with last month and hog supply was sufficient.
