Wheat Consumption for Flour Production in June

By CnAgri2013-08-05 10:58:26 Print According to the National Bureau of Statistics, flour production by medium and large mills registered 11.554 million MT in June. Deducting repetitive statistics, BOABC estimates that flour production was about 6.74 million MT in June.
 
Taking into account of carryin and imports, flour supply was 7.395 million MT in June, a drop 1.16% on the year-on-year basis. Flour consumption was about 6.7 million MT in June, including 6.375 million MT for food use, 266,000 MT for feed production and 37,000 MT for industrial uses.
 
Flour consumption for food use consisted of 2.996 million MT households’ consumption, 1.907 million MT restaurants’ consumption and 1.472 million MT food industry’s consumption.
 
Of the flour consumption in June, 34.02% were consumed by rural households, 28.46% by restaurants, 21.97% by the food industry and 10.7% by urban households.
 
Flour price was RMB3,176/MT in June and RMB3,088/MT in January ~ June, up 12.14% and 9.64% respectively on the year-on-year basis.
 
Flour sale/production ratio was 99.41% in June. Flour inventory was estimated to be 695,000 MT at the end of June.
