Sunflower Farmers Finish 2012 Harvest
By CnAgri PrintThe High Plains region experienced another warm, windy and dry week as slow, but steady harvest progress was achieved.
This will be the final state-by-state USDA crop progress and condition report as all regions near completion of the 2012 sunflower growing season.
Kansas is reporting 96 percent of the crop harvested compared to last year at 94 percent and a five year average of 89 percent.
Colorado is at 98 percent and Texas has 92 percent of the crop harvested.
Minnesota, and North and South Dakota completed their harvests previously.
