China's Non-manufacturing PMI Decreased in June

In June, non-manufacturing purchasing manager index was 53.9 percent, a decrease of 0.4 percentage point over the previous month.

In view of different industries, non-manufacturing purchasing manager index of service industry was 52.6 percent, up by 0.3 percentage point than that in the previous month. Of which, the indices of post, Internet, software and information technology services, telecommunications, broadcasting, television and satellite transmission services, air transport, ecological protection, environmental control and management of public facilities stayed above the threshold, and the total enterprise business increased; the indices of accommodation, restaurants, transport via road, transport via railway,  loading, unloading, portage and storage were below the threshold, and the total enterprise business decreased. Non-manufacturing purchasing manager index of construction industry achieved 59.3 percent, down by 2.9 percentage point over the previous month, continued to stay above the threshold.

New orders index continued to stay above the threshold. The new orders index was 50.3 percent, an increase of 0.2 percentage point over the previous month. In view of different industries, the new orders index of service industry was 49.9 percent, below the threshold, and 0.7 percentage point higher over the previous month. Of which, the new orders indices of Internet, software and information technology services, post, renting and leasing activities and business services, air transport were above the threshold, and the market demands increased, while the new orders indices of transport via railway, accommodation, restaurants, resident services and repair, transport via road were below the threshold, and the market demands decreased. The new orders index of construction industry was 51.7 percent, down by 1.7 percentage points over the previous month.

Intermediate input price index continued to rise, reached 55.0 percent, up by 0.6 percentage point over last month, indicating that the rise amount of intermediate input price during the process of production and operation of non-manufacturing enterprises increased. In view of different industries, the intermediate input price index of service industry was 56.5 percent, up by 1.8 percentage points over the previous month, except for water transport, the intermediate input price indices of other industries were all above the threshold, of which, the indices of Internet, software and information technology services, resident services and repair, loading, unloading, portage and storage, restaurants, renting and leasing activities and business services were running in a high place, and the increase of operation costs of enterprises was quite large. The intermediate input price index of construction industry was 49.1 percent, a decrease of 4.2 percentage points over the previous month.

The subscription price index was above the threshold. This index was 50.6 percent, though 0.1 percentage point lower over last month, still stayed above the threshold, which showing that the non-manufacturing subscription price increased. In view of different industries, the subscription price index of service industry was 50.7 percent, an increase of 0.2 percentage point over the previous month. Of which, the subscription price indices of renting and leasing activities and business services, ecological protection, environmental control and management of public facilities, real estate, resident services and repair were above the threshold, that of accommodation, air transport, telecommunications, broadcasting, television and satellite transmission services, wholesale were below the threshold. The subscription price index of construction industry was 50.2 percent, down by 1.3 percentage points over last month.

Business activities expectation index continued to stay in a high place. This index reached 61.8 percent, down by 1.1 percentage points over last month and still placed highly in the range, which indicating that the non-manufacturing enterprises maintained optimistic about the operating expectation in next three months. In view of different industries, the business activities expectation indices of air transport, construction of building, ecological protection, environmental control and management of public facilities, Internet, software and information technology services, post positioned in a high place which above 70 percent, that of resident services and repair, water transport stayed below the threshold.
