Price Trends of Fertilizer This Week

China Agriculture Report By CnAgri2013-06-07 11:27:12China Agriculture Report Print Urea: urea market kept weak this week and enterprises continued declining quotations. Though it is time for using fertilizer in summer, dealers are not eager to stock. Besides, the low price in Indian bidding hit unconfident manufacturers once again. And future urea market trend depends on fertilizer demand in summer and influences of estimation on urea export. (Figure 1)
 
ABC: ABC: average price of ABC kept stable at RMB700/MT with no big fluctuation. (Figure 2)
 
DAP: DAP market still went weak this week. It is early to stock and due to unfavorable operation on ammonium phosphate, traders in downstream are unwilling to purchase. Influenced by low international price, some enterprises are forced to reduce export. DAP market has seen considerable decline with over capacity, export difficulty and weak domestic demand. Lack of favorable factors in future, it is predicted DAP market shall remain weak. (Figure 3)
 
NPK: due to price decline of raw materials and overall weak fertilizer market, NPK market went general and quotations from manufacturers remained steady with decline. As for operating rate, some NPK manufacturers began seasonal stoppage in SC with end of fertilizer using in spring and in NC, the operating rate is well with corn fertilizer demand. (Figure 4)
 
MOP: domestic MOP market went basically stable this week, but market turnovers went slacker. MOP production and shipment were normally going on. In border trade, traders are pessimistic about later market trend and some traders even stopped transactions; in ports, the price kept stable and turnovers likewise went slack. (Figure 5)
 
SOP: SOP market saw no great change this week and demand kept being weak. (Figure 6)
