Dairy Production Stood at 17.9 Million Tons in First Eight Months, up 9.5% YoY

In August, dairy production totaled 2.35 million tons, up 4.8% YoY, of which liquid dairy products 2.21 million tons, up 5.6% YoY; milk powder 73.3 thousand tons, down 11.3% YoY.
Dairy production totaled 17.92 million tons in the First Eight months of 2019, up 9.5% YoY. Among the total production, production of liquid dairy products was  16.72 million tons, up 9.9% YoY. And production of milk powder was 690  thousand tons, up 3.8% YoY.
Hebei, Inner Mongolia and Shandong are the top three dairy products producing regions in China, with a total output of 5.84 million tons in the First Eight months of 2019, accounting for one third of the total output.
