In September, corn starch prices stabilized, but the quotations of starch byproducts went up driven by soybean meal prices, and the overall costs of corn were less than last month, so the loss of corn starch companies narrowed. The average loss was RMB 53/MT, RMB 50/MT less than last month.
 
Without the subsides, in Jilin, the average processing margin of corn starch was 62 RMB/MT, 66 RMB/MT more than last month; in Shandong, the average loss was 172 RMB/MT, 30 RMB/MT less loss than last month.
