5.7% YoY Growth of Raw Milk Production Index in First 11 Months of 2019

MOA revealed that:
Raw milk production momentum was positive in 2019, dairy cattle productivity was 7.8 tons, 0.4 ton more over the previous year.
64% of dairy cattle were at scaled farms in 2019, up 3 percentage points.
As per MOA monitoring on licensed raw milk collections, raw milk production during the first 11 months was up 5.7% YoY.
BOABC concludes from surveys that the raw milk production index started to bounce in October after the continual decline from May to September in 2019. The index should be around 107 in October, November and December. The addition of the indexes in 2019 should be 5.5% higher over 2018.
