Raw Milk Price Reversed Falling Trend in June

As per MOA monitoring, raw milk price kept at 3.57 yuan/kg in the first 20 days of June 2020, and it climbed to around 3.6 yuan/kg in the last ten days of the month, the monthly average was 3.58 yuan/kg, up 0.01 yuan/kg MoM or 0.3%; the YoY growth was 0.03 yuan/kg or 0.8%.
MoM, Inner Mongolia sustained the upward turn, Shandong reversed the sliding and rose, Henan remained the same as in the previous month, whereas both Heilongjiang and Hebei were on a downward slope.
YoY, the growth of milk price in January was 6.6%, 5.5% in February, 4.7% in March, 2% in April, 1.1% in May and 0.8% in June, the growth rates kept on shrinking. Alongside the further growing demand for dairy, the demand for raw milk shall become stronger. The price growing trend shall be further fortified in July thanks to the restraint from heat stress to cow lactation and the price shall surge YoY.
