The Margin of Corn Starch Processing is Slightly Lower than Last Month

As the corn cost has risen, starch deep processing companies raised the price of corn starch and by-products. However, since the increase at the beginning of the month lags behind the increase in costs, the average margin of corn starch companies in January was slightly lower than the previous month. In January, the average monthly profit of corn starch processing was 125 yuan/ton, a 26.5% decrease of 45 yuan/ton from the previous month.
 
To be specific, the average processing margin of corn starch processing enterprises in Jilin in January was 92 yuan/ton, decreasing 34 yuan/ton from the previous month; while the margin of Shandong processing enterprises in January was 160 yuan/ton, with a 60 yuan/ton MoM decrease.
